Pre-Season Training Begins
Melbourne Ice pre-season training has begun (pictured above), with a large crew of returning players, aspiring players and Ice volunteers turning out to be put through their paces by Ice coaches Jaffa Watson and Brad Vigon.

Docklands Rink Gets Go Ahead!
The Minister for Sport and Recreation, James Merlino, has announced that the National Ice Sports Centre at Docklands will proceed, predicting an early 2010 opening.

2009 Coaching Panel Announced
Melbourne Ice has announced the reappointment of Paul 'Jaffa' Watson as Coach of the Ice for 2009, to be assisted by Brad Vigon, former Captain of the Ice, who returns to his role as Assistant Coach. This follows the retirement from the coaching panel of Rob Knesaurek and Roy Sargent.
